Welcome to Walking Their Own Paths: Women Calligraphers in Contemporary Taiwan. This landmark exhibition is the first large-scale showcase dedicated to the works of Taiwanese women calligraphers. Bringing together artists from a range of generations, backgrounds, and stylistic approaches, it celebrates the diversity, creativity, and innovation that women have brought to the art of calligraphy.

Featuring nearly 60 artists and more than 60 works, the exhibition spans a century of artistic practice and includes a wide array of media—ranging from traditional ink on paper to mixed media, installation, photography, and video.

Beyond revisiting the historical context and contemporary presence of women calligraphers in Taiwan, the exhibition also includes invited artists from China, Japan, Korea, Iran, the United Kingdom, and France, expanding the conversation into a broader transnational and intercultural dialogue among women artists. We warmly invite you to engage with their creative journeys and life stories.
