- Welcome to Shuhari: Ro Boku’s writing in art world. This exhibition showcases the work of Ro Boku. He has been engaged in calligraphy education for years, with a longstanding focus on the roots of Eastern script.
The title Shuhari draws inspiration from the philosophy of Japanese tea master Sen no Rikyū (1522–1591). Shuhari encapsulates three stages of mastery: Shu (守), preserving and honoring tradition; Ha (破), breaking away through innovation; and Ri (離), transcending form to achieve creative freedom. In this exhibition, the artworks reflect Ro Boku's breakthroughs and innovations along his artistic journey, while also showcasing the diverse expressions and possibilities of contemporary calligraphic art.
