- Chinese calligrapher Su Shishu studied under the renowned calligrapher Qi Gong in his early years. He later worked at the Cultural Relics Press, eventually becoming its president. His deep expertise in Chinese cultural relics, especially calligraphy, is well-regarded. With a profound respect for tradition, Su has mastered the brush techniques of various script styles.

In this piece, titled Ode to Chinese Characters, Su meticulously demonstrates his expertise in small seal script, a style for which he is highly recognized.
