New Record of Taoyuan International Art Award with Submission by 604 Participants from 46 Countries

“Taoyuan International Art Award,” organized by Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts (TMoFA), aims to provide a platform for creation and exchanges to incubate new generation of artists, enhance international art exchanges, and cultivate art research and practices. The online registration which draws artists’ attention from 92 countries has ended on 10th July, with the entry submission by 604 participants coming from 46 countries worldwide.

The submission outnumbers the competition last year, breaking a record in the past 5 years. Most of the participants come from Asia and Europe; America, Africa and Oceania have the second highest number of participants.

The participants diverse in cultural backgrounds and generations. Their entries include the works of 2D, 3D and new media. It seems to be a fierce competition for artists and TMoFA has recently gathered international jury members of artists, curators and critics to conduct preliminary review. The Finalists will be announced by the end of August this year.

Artists selected in preliminary review are expected to build up their exhibits and participate in the exhibition in Taoyuan Arts Center, Taiwan, in March and April 2021.
