Land art festivals are an important “art brand” for Taoyuan to strengthen its local foundation and prosper on the international stage. The festivals encourage diverse art creations and resident participation to help residents embrace and learn more about their land, human culture, and natural landscapes. The 2019 Taoyuan Land Art Festival, themed on “new city-scape,” introduced art into people’s living space and natural environments to create a cultural “oasis” in the city of Taoyuan; enable the public to witness Taoyuan’s rich urban culture; and serve as a catalyst driving Taoyuan’s development.
